Broad Based BEE's Preferential Procurement element very cleverly allows companies to score points when they buy from BEE Compliant companies. This helps incentivise buying from companies who have good BEE scorecards. It also makes companies who have low scores improve them.

At this moment all your suppliers have already been paid and they have completed all their work. In the future you need to ask these companies for their scorecard because you have spent money with them.

You can and should also ask all new suppliers and potential suppliers for their scorecards because it will benefit your company.

You should try and ask every single company who you have spent money with (in the last year) for their BEE Scorecard.

If you do get responses from most of your suppliers then you will be well on your way to becoming BEE compliant.
