The EME BEE Status Document Pack |
|
|
A certain group of businesses are exempt from B-BBEE and are referred to as Exempt Micro Enterprises (EMEs). An EME is an enterprise that has a turnover of no more than R5 million per annum. EMEs in Construction, Forest and Tourism industry follow respective sector code turnover thresholds as follows;
| Sector Code |
Threshold
|
| Codes Of Good Practice |
<R5 million |
| Construction Sector - Contractors |
<R5 million |
| Construction Sector - Built Environment Professionals |
<R1.5 million |
| Forest Sector |
<R5 million |
| Tourism Sector |
<R2.5 million |
EMEs can optionally choose to become more BEE compliant, but the codes of good practice state that they need do no more than inform their customers that they are exempt.
To save you time EconoBEE can design a set of documents that states your EME status and assists you in getting this message across to your customers, who invariably still do not understand how BEE operates.
The following documents are included in your EME Document Pack
Summary BEE Policy EME Certificate EME Exemption Statement Exempt Micro Enterprise (EME) Exemption Statement to Customers Regarding Procurement Summary of the B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice as approved by cabinet in December 2006 Booklet – B-BBEE and how to create a BEE Scorecard
The price for the whole documentation pack is a once-off R750 (incl VAT).
