The tourism charter has now been gazetted as a sector code and must be followed by all members of the tourism and hospitality industry.
This includes hotels and bed and breakfasts, restaurants and conference organisers, travel agents and tour operators, amongst others. The tourism charter has slightly different weighting and targets to the codes of good practice.
